The Julia H. Wetzel ’27 Society honors alumni/ae, parents and other members of the Friends Select community who include the school in their estate plans. Planned gifts include bequest intentions, charitable remainder trusts, gift annuities and other forms of deferred giving.
Planned giving can be distinctly advantageous for individuals who choose to help Friends Select continue its legacy of exemplary education. Donors know their gifts will support Friends Select well into the future. Moreover, planned gifts can provide a lifetime income benefit, while decreasing tax exposure. For donors interested in a fixed lifetime income benefit, Friends Select partners with Friends Fiduciary Corporation to offer a charitable gift annuity program.
Individuals who include the school in their wills or estate plans (with a bequest intention or planned gift of any size) become members of the Wetzel Society.
The Wetzel Society is named after Julia Hosbach Wetzel, an alumna from the class of 1927 who made a generous gift to Friends Select through her estate. Friends Select is grateful to Julia and the many members of the extended school community who have become members of the Wetzel Society.
