How to Apply

Please Note: We are no longer accepting applications for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first grade, and third grade for the 2008-2009 school year.  A limited number of openings remain for other grade levels.

For all applicants
Families at all grade levels, pre-kindergarten through 12, should complete the following steps:

1. Contact the Admission Office at 215-561-5900, x104, to schedule attendance at an Open House.
2. Compete and submit the Admission Application, with a $40 application fee. Pre-K through 5th grade applicants are also assessed a $30 testing fee.
3. Schedule a parent interview with an admission director.
4. Request that a current (academic subject) teacher submit to the Admission Office a Teacher Referral Form. Below are PDF files that can be downloaded.

For Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Only
(Please note: applicants for pre-kindergarten must turn age four before September 1 of their pre-k school year; applicants for kindergarten must be age five before September 1.)

Schedule a time for the applicant to attend a pre-kindergarten or kindergarten Play Day. The parent interview must be held prior to the Play Day.

Play Day Schedule 2008-2009 (applicants for 2009-2010 school year) November and December, 2008, and January 2009 dates to be announced in July, 2008

Specific to Grades 1 through 5

1. Schedule a full-day visit for the applicant to complete testing and attend classes.
2. Submit an official school transcript (current and previous years), including grades and attendance records.

Specific to Grades 6 through 12

1. Schedule a full-day visit for the applicant to attend classes, be interviewed, and take an academic assessment.
2. Submit an official transcript (current and previous years), including grades, attendance records and standardized test scores.
3. Schedule the applicant to take one of two admissions tests:
   - Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT), www.ssat.org, or the
   - Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE), www.erbtest.org/parents/admissions/isee

Admission Application Dates for 2008-2009 School Year
Parents should complete the admission process by the admission deadline of January 4, 2008. Parents who do so will be notified of the admission decision before January 31, 2008. After this date, completed applications will be considered monthly on a rolling basis, as space permits. To ensure placement, parents must notify the Admission Office of their enrollment decision by March 3, 2008. After March 1, applications will be accepted as space permits.
