College Placement

Typically, 100 percent of Friends Select graduates enter four-year colleges and universities, including some of the nation's most selective institutions. College counseling and support services begin with guidance for standardized testing and course selection in ninth grade and continue with college night programs for eleventh grade families. For eleventh and twelfth grade families, individual meetings are scheduled with each student (including at least one session with parents) prior to ongoing individual consultation. The primary goal of the program is to guide each student to identify the college or university which best matches his or her unique abilities and ambitions. Because faculty and administrators know each student well, they write especially individual and informed letters of recommendation.
