Blauvelt Theatre Project

The Blauvelt Theatre has a prominent physical place in the facility, and is just as important in the life of the school; it is a multi-purpose space that is host to student assemblies, academic and athletic awards ceremonies, and music and drama performances. Additionally, the Blauvelt Theatre accommodates faculty and staff professional development activities, alumni events, admission open houses, as well as our Wellness Program events for the entire community. It is certainly an important thread in the fabric of the Friends Select experience.

Renovations have included new seating and improved sight lines and balcony views; a refurbished, larger stage area; and an updated and advanced sound and lighting system. Support of the Blauvelt Theatre renovation project has an incredible impact on the life of the school and helps advance Friends Select School to its greatest potential.

For more information on the project, including ways to give and naming opportunities, contact Christine Jefferson, director of development and alumni relations, at or 215.561.5900, ext. 3141.
