Friends,

As we prepare to return to Friends Select School tomorrow, we want to share some updates about road conditions around our buildings and provide some adjusted directions for drop-off and pickup. Students will not be marked late if they arrive past the start of the school day.

Please plan to follow these directions for the remainder of this week. If conditions change, we will share an update.

Car Drop-Offs - Use Back Lot: 

• All streets around the school, and particularly Race Street, are lined with snowbanks. As a result, traffic lanes are narrower, and there are fewer safe drop-off locations for students.
• If you are dropping your child off by car, please enter our Parkway Building back lot through the Race Street gate and let them out there. 
• The parking lane on Race Street will not be available as a drop-off location or as a queue.
• The 1600 block of Cherry Street is a good alternative location to drop off your child for middle and upper school students. They can use the front entrance to the Parkway Building from there.

Car Pickups - School Day and After School Program - Use Back Lot:

• Lower school pickup in the back lot runs from 2:50-3:15 p.m.
• Middle school pickup in the back lot runs from 3:15-3:30 p.m.
• Upper school families picking students up by car are encouraged to use the 1600 block of Cherry Street.
• ASP: The back lot will remain open to families for pickup from 3:30-6 p.m. You will need to enter the building to sign your child out of ASP. Please allow space for others to park and exit the lot.
