Alumni Association

It is with great excitement that we introduce our new Friends Select School Alumni Association. This initiative has been inspired by input from the larger alumni community, as well as conversations from our former National Alumni Board (NAB).

In recent years, we have received valuable feedback from many alumni expressing a desire for more opportunities to connect with the school, our students, and perhaps most importantly, with each other. Friends Select’s new Alumni Association will provide a vital platform to foster bonds despite geographic locations, create meaningful ways to connect socially, and provide avenues for you to contribute your professional expertise back to the school that has played a significant role in shaping who you are today.

We are delighted to announce that the Alumni Association will be led by two dedicated alumni who share your love for Friends Select. Ben Behrend ’12 and Martha Eisenberg ’85, P’22, ’24 have agreed to serve as co-presidents. They bring a wealth of experience, enthusiasm, and a commitment to deepening the alumni experience. Martha and Ben shared:

"We are delighted to serve our alma mater as co-presidents of the Friends Select School Alumni Association. Like you, we are proud of our school’s remarkable legacy, and we look forward to supporting its extraordinary alumni community. Our Alumni Association is a bridge between past and present and its reinvigoration allows us all to nurture the bonds that tie us as alumni while cultivating new relationships that strengthen the entire Friends Select community. Together, let us ensure the legacy of Friends Select School continues for generations to come."

In this new role, Ben and Martha will preside at Alumni Association meetings and liaise with Michael Gary, head of school, and the advancement office. They will lead for a term ranging from one to three years, allowing for continuity as the Alumni Association and its leadership structure develop.

Early endeavors of the Alumni Association include:

We would like to also take this opportunity to thank Steve Lawrence ’81, the longstanding chair of the NAB. In his many years of service to his alma mater and the alumni program, Steve has played a pivotal role in fostering relationships and ensuring connections to Friends Select continue to thrive within the alumni community. His dedication is a testament to the impact our alumni can have on the legacy of our school. We are profoundly grateful for Steve's leadership.

All alumni are members of the Alumni Association; your active participation and valuable insights will be crucial in making this initiative a success. We look forward to reconnecting with each and every one of you and building a vibrant and supportive Friends Select alumni community.
